Who We Are?
Ottawa Marathi Mandal is a unique social community for area residents to make new friends, renew cultural ties and encourage younger generation to learn about the Maharashtrian tradition and culture.
We invite everyone in or around the Ottawa area to join the group, as well, those who are interested in learning, preserving or nurturing the Maharashtrian culture, and discover various resources in our region. Mandal members are taking initiatives to start new activities, celebrate various festivals and have partnered with various organizations around the region to join some on-going activities to promote tradition and culture. OMM was established 40 years ago and with OMM, we strive to keep the marathi culture and support marashtrian people who are living and moving to Ottawa.

About Ottawa Marathi Mandal (OMM)
Ottawa Marathi Mandal (OMM) is a federally incorporated nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating Marathi language, culture, and heritage in Ottawa and surrounding areas.
Our Mission
To bring together the Marathi-speaking community of the National Capital Region — keeping our language, traditions, and values alive for this generation and the next.
What we do
Cultural celebrations — festivals and programs throughout the year, including Ganesh Utsav, Gudhi Padwa, and Diwali, plus music, dance, and drama performances
Language promotion — Marathi language classes, literary events, and educational initiatives.
Community building — a welcoming space for Marathi-speaking individuals and families to connect and support one another
Youth engagement — involving younger generations in cultural activities so traditions carry forward
Collaboration — partnering with other Indian and cultural organizations to promote diversity and inclusivity
Giving back — contributing to social causes and community welfare through volunteer work and donations
